Default HELP Question about rear differential for 350z

Is it normal to be able to move the stub axle flanges about a milimeter or two and have a small space between the diff and the axle flange? I installed an aftermarket TOMEI unit in my VLSD Diff and I know I have the left and right flanges in the right spot but I'm just concerned because I feel like there's too much movement and space. I also know for sure this is the right TOMEI for my differential. And I looked up the flanges on the TOMEI website and the ones I have are the correct ones.
Heres some pictures

You talking about the stub axles being able to easily move out and in just a little? If so, I think it's normal. I've had several different diffs in my car and they've all done it. Once everything is bolted up they can't move obviously.
