What exactly is the difference between, "stock heat spark plugs", and "cooler than stock spark plugs"(besides one burns cooler). What exactly is the purpose of the cooler SP and for what applications would you use it for, jus wonderin if anyone knows cuz its about the only thing i've never looked into and just want to find out what the hel they do without looking at a million sites online.

I'll take a crack at answering this question, but I'm by no means an expert. The temperature rating of a plug refers to how quickly heat is transferred away from the center electrode to the body of the plug. A "cooler" plug will tend to allow the center electrode to cool somewhat between firings as compared to a 'hotter' plug. A cooler plug is useful in forced induction or high compression applications, where a hot plug could result in detonation. For stock applications, there is no need to go to a cooler plug. It will result in less complete combustion and may cause early fouling of the plugs.
I'm hoping someone with more knowledge on the subject will chime in and correct me, if I'm wrong.
