Default new tranny. quick question

I just bought and am currently installing a cd09 manual tranny in my 03 z. It did not come with shifter bracket or linkage. I swaped my 03 tranny linkage and bracket to it but the bracket does not line up with the bolt holes. If I just use the top bolts to secure the bracket to the tranny it seems to work properly with the linkage. Is it a big deal to run like this or do I need proper linkage and bracket. Thanks. Heres a picturebof what I'm talking about.

Just to add a little more info if it makes and difference, the new cd09 is out of a revup.

Found a thread where Alberto was using his old shifter plate like me. Only bolting the top bolts down because it won't fit all 4 bolts. It seems strong without them and I installed the tranny back into the car. Feels legit.

Why not get the correct shifter plate? Seems like an unknown for no reason.

Could that possibly be from having the incorrect or misaligned linkage? Even with the proper parts, this can happen from misalignment.

Nothing's misaligned on linkage or anything. Other people have run this way without problems. I bought the tranny used from a junkyard. It's really Whiney like a supercharger sound and 5th gear sounds like marbles

I didn't know the '06 had a cd009, I thought it was 07, 08, and '09.

Says it on the the transmission. I have the vin from the car it came from. 06 is when the de transmission was revised to the cd09. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure.

Ok, plus it obviously doesn't accept the bracket either. I was just stating that I didn't know 06 had the cd009. I'm sure if it only grinds going into 5th gear you have a burned up synchronizer.
