Auto trans to manual trans?
The gears in the diff shouldn't have anything to do with the cruise...
And there are plenty of people who would swap you for that 4.08. If I didn't do so much highway driving I'd have them in my Z. But doing 80mph with 4.08's isn't fun for anybody.

Yeah, for sure. Unfortunately I do a lot of highway driving because I live on campus 120 miles round trip from home. I'll take a look at it this weekend and hopefully be able to confirm that it's a 4.08 differential causing the high rpms and not a bigger issue!
The fourth letter "A" does not mean auto, it means the engine type.

The vin will not tell you whether the car is a manual or auto. Only way to truly tell what came out of the factory would be to look up your vin at a dealer.

I've checked many 4.5-6s and I see the A...the single vtc hump and know there's no cd009
