Default oil coolers !!! vortech z

im getting ready to order my oil cooler here in the next few days got a couple of questions though seeing if anyone can help . 1st do you remove the oem oil cooler or just stack them ?? 2nd im thinkng about just getting a non thermastic 1 because i could simply disconnect it for winter and reconnect for summer, im already seeing 110 degrees where im located at and just purchased a trans cooler . last any good places to mount it ?? im mounting the trans cooler sideways on the driver side where the crash beam is.

Get a thermostatic plate, don't disconnect it for the winter. You still need your oil cooler.. but if you want to block off some cold air just put a plate in front of the cooler.

Mount it where you'll get air, mine is mounted on the bottom right of the radiator where the fins are.
