Default vq35de motor

Im looking for a motor to build this summer for my 04 350Z. Is a pathfinder or Altima the same as a z's motor or are they different? I don't want to modify the motor that is in the car now their is nothing wrong with it .Im look at going twin turbo next summer. thanks for any info

The maxima and altima use the same engine block if it's a DE block non-rev. I think most of the new ones are rev-up though. I'm not sure about pathfinder. The other parts are different though.

I'd just keep searching. Lots of vq35de non-rev on ebay or on here. You pretty much just need a short block. Just build the short block and then over the winter send your heads off to have them refreshed with new valves, springs, retainers, etc.
