HR 313 Intermittent Issue
Hi all, As you may have all noticed I have skipped the intro post and got straight into my problem (essentially looking for another opinion) I am from UK and own a 07 Nissan 350z 313, I've posted my issue on the 350z-Uk forums but have had no joy with regards to any real solution or ideas. Essentially what I'm getting is the following; When cold started the car catches spark revs then dies almost immediately, it takes a good 10 mins before the car will eventually fully catch and start, when the car finally starts it over fuels massively sending out thick petrol smelling smoke from the exhaust and miss fires (No loss in coolant and no over heating) finally when the idle settles the car is unable to rev above 1.5k (Non-limp mode as Limp mode the revs bounce of the limter at 2.5k).
This has been an on going issue for the last 2 months and usually tends to get worse in the colder the weather (car has been starting fine this week as the weather is slightly warmer, however car is still over fuelling and producing a lot of exhaust condensation/water vapour) I also have a loss in power.
We plugged the car in to check to see if any codes were thrown or stored and were surprised to find that none have been thrown, 2 weeks ago the car threw a P0158 02 sensor bank 2 sensor 2 high voltage, after looking at the live graphs we noticed that the sensor has failed completely however we believe this has happened due to the amount of fuel being passed through the exhausts. Both MAF sensors are reading normal, I have replaced the spark plugs and replaced the coolant temperature sensor all to no avail as the problem still persists.
A few of the members on 350z UK forum have suggested a possible Fuel pump issue/pressure issue's (I do get a high pitched whine from the pump, some say this is normal some don't) my fuel pressure regulator also ticks if the revs are held at 1.3k and also when the engine is hot (intermittent) again I'm not sure if this would cause an issue. Others have mentioned a VAC leak and electrical problem, again I'm swayed more towards a fuelling issue, perhaps a bad injector?
I decided to take a 3 video's each showing my problem, first video is what I get when attempting to start the car, second video is what happens when the car first fires up and the third video is what happens when the car finally fires up (the only way to get rid of the problem on the third video is to turn the engine off and on a few times, it eventually runs after this process)
Again any help or suggestions would be massively appreciated, the car is booked into Nissan next Monday and as you can imagine I'm trying to get a solution or rough idea before then.
Below is the link to the playlist of my issue's. (click YouTube playlist)
Also on video 2 if you listen closely you can hear the fuel pump producing a high pitched whine again I'm not sure if this is normal in these cars.
Many Thanks
