Found this on ebay. Seems to be a great deal as well. Any thoughts?

Not sure how those part numbers relate to the gear ratio. Mine did have the same 'GD' stamp, though, while the open diff was stamped 'GC'.

That's a good deal but one with a 3.69 final drive would have been better.

How can you tell what FD it has? I couldn't.

I was really thinking about the 4.08s, read a 5 year old thread stating how much everyone liked it. Is everyone still on that same page?

Yeah the quaife would be awesome. I didn't get enough for my Honda though. Maybe if I just put a quaife sticker.. lol

It came off a 350z or g35 manual its going to have the 3.5 fd, 5auto came with the 3.3, the one you posted looks to be from a 6 speed. The G37 and 370z manual came with 3.69.

My diff came in and it does not have those flanges on the sides.

Will mine switch right over? Will this cause an install problem?

Man, you got f**ked. First thing I'd do is make a full copy of the eBay listing, so the seller can't edit it, then let the seller know you want the parts ASAP. At the same time, I'd file a PayPal "item not as described" dispute to let the seller know you're serious.

I'm pretty sure, one, or maybe both, of the stub axles are different on the VLSD. That's just not what was described and pictured in the ad - make them fix it.

When I later upgrade to the Quaife diff, I used my old Base pumpkin, because there is a different version of the Quaife to match the different stub axle(s) on the VLSD.
