Default lsd swap to base model z

i currently have a base model z with an open diff my friend is selling me his oem lsd for 300 has 85,000 miles on it. if i do swap it is it just a direct swap? like just remove the open diff and put the new one in? and do i have to change my gears? what would happen if i didn't

Don't pay over $200 , if you want to spend $300 , grab one from a 370Z

It is a direct swap, but with that mileage, it's probably too worn to be worth it.

By that many miles it's just as open as yours

Is that price for the diff only? Or for pumpkin?

Changing the diff only requires checking and aligning ring & pinion.

OEM's LSD diffs are viscous ones, better save money for torsen / clutch type LSD.

I would hope for $300 you are getting the entire pumpkin with new bushings... A real friend would just give you that ****.

I thought this thread was going to be a build thread about and ls engine haha epic fail
