Default Power steering pump leaking..

Small drip off of the alternator and Im assuming from either the bottom or back side of the pump. Seems like its a small leak. Couple drips a day.

Checked all the hoses seem fine. Ran my hands on the back side and got a small drip. Not exactly sure where (blind reach)

Im assuming its just a worn seal. Does anyone know which or what seal could be leaking?

And before its said, I've already googled of "used the search function" and found the threads of leaking hoses, downright busted pumps and the ones where people just say buy a new one.

But Id rather try and seal it if I have the chance. This is a project car. So Id prefer to try and fix it that replace everything on it. So please don't suggest "just buy a new pump" that's not the point here. Im also wanting to find out where or why.

So does anyone know where these would tend to leak from? Or where the seal may be located?

Try the eyebolt washers. Otherwise, hoses or the shaft seal. Not much else

And thanks Bajan.

I found a couple seal & o-rings kits. Now I just have to try and find the leak. Hopefully I don't have to do a full rebuild. Ive seen these apart and its a PITA..

When i bought my 05 years back I found oil all over my alternator. I torqued down the eyebolt and the leak stopped. I eventually replaced the washer. I couldnt find the exact cause at first, so I sprayed brake cleaner around the whole area to make sure it was clean and dry. then after a day or 2 of driving, i traced it up the the eyebolt washer.

I dont understand why people get bothered by someone posting a "car" question on a "car" forum? Whats the point of having this forum if people shouldnt start threads. If you dont have the answer move on. But i guess all forums have dicks, and those dicks have to come out and make their presence known.

Agreed. Somehow I thought that the idea of a forum was communication with each other. Most of us could Google our answers if it came to that, but where's the camaraderie in that?

Its something about Nissan forums/owners. Idk what it is, but every Nissan forum Ive even used people are so inconvenienced to answer Nissan or basic car questions.

But threads about my little pony or drama alerts to bash some go on for months and thousands of posts for months.

I could never understand it. Its sad that I post the same questions on non Nissan forums and get better and more help about my Nissans there.

Nothing tops Zilvia tho. That's forum was just beyond broken.

I did the same, sprayed some BC all over it and wiped it down. I just haven't had a chance to run it anywhere yet. I still have the whole front end torn apart for other repairs and waiting on some other parts.

Again its not catastrophic. Its just a drip a night but staining my driveway.
