Sparks are recomended to be changed every 30k miles. However, they can last up to 100k miles. Check them. If theyre good, leave it. If not, change them

If they changed the valve cover gaskets then they already did the work to get to the spark plugs, it would of taken them 5 minutes to do the additional work to change the plugs
