Default Will a HR OEM clutch/flywheel work in a DE?

Need a budget fix for my wife's slipping 102k mile '04 DE 350z clutch and I've found some low mileage HR OEM clutch setups used.

Does anyone know definitively if a '07 HR OEM clutch and flywheel will work on the DE motor? I'm assuming it will bolt up without issues, but the larger concern in my mind is if the crank position sensor will correctly read the HR flywheel as it would the DE flywheel, and actually start.

I searched and read through the results for 20 minutes but didn't find any real answers.....

Anyone done this that could chime in?

Pretty sure that does not work. Clutch MIGHT bolt up but flywheel is different, actuation hardware is different (CSC versus external slave/fork on DE).

Check with one of our vendors but near as I've seen, the part numbers are all different.

Speaking of vendors, you can pick up a JWT OEM-replacement clutch specific to DE for less than $300. or the "industry leading" JWT HD unit for four bills.

It would work the other way around though and it's actually a better option for HR!

Assuming the actuation is changed to CMAK? Or will a DE clutch bolt up to HR flywheel and still retain/work with CSC??

Interesting.... in to hear how that works.
