Transmission help???
So I was driving to work tonight and the transmission felt like it started slipping. It actually felt very much like when my clutch went out. But unlike when the clutch went out, as I was trying to limp it back home, the service engine light and slip light came on. I turned off the vdc to see if it would help. It didn't but I was unable to turn it back on. Anyone have any ideas???
The slipping got progressively worse as I drove it home.

I did read that it could be the cam position sensor but the problems I bread weren't exactly the same as mine. I tried pulling off the road. I shut the car off and turned it back on. I had no problems with start up. It turned right over and started. My slipping isn't delayed. It's a repetitive sputtering feeling. The RPM's jump.
Could this still be symptoms of the cam sensor?

Thanks. I'm close to an O'Reilly so I am gonna limp it there in the morning. I was just seeing if anyone might have had the same problem. I'll be at work all night stressing about it. Lol. I just put a clutch in.

Crankshaft position sensor. Thank goodness!!! Lol. It's actually less expensive than replacing both camshaft sensors too. $42 and a little brisk morning air garage floor labor :-)
