Default vq35de engine startup

can the vq35de engine startup without any type of radiator/ radiator fluid on a fresh engine rebuild?

if i were to put the new motor in my car but just try to do a quick startup will the car start or will it only crank and not start?

i know awhile back when my radiator temps got up to H the car would not start up only crank.

The OEM ECM will look for a signal from the coolant sensor, and without one, may not start.

It will still start. The sensor doesn't disable or trigger a code that makes the ECU not start the car. It is ok to run it for about 1 - 2 mins, no more than that. Radiator fluid simply cools the block. It doesn't lubricate anything so the only thing that can go wrong is overheating. But this should take some time to heat up enough to do damage. The ONLY thing that would be at risk is the water pump. The bearings in the water pump will overheat much faster than the engine block. As long as you have some fluid in the block you will be fine.
