Default 2005 Touring high-pitched rattle

I can hear this rattling coming from my car (can't identify if it's engine or tranny) it has a faint tick in idle that sounds like it could be a lifter or a misfiring fuel injector but under hard acceleration, the best way to describe the sound is a rattlesnake or tambourine. It's not a constant sound either. I specifically hear it at the top of first gear when I left off the gas and when accelerating throughout the other gears. I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything that sounds similar. If anyone knows anything please let me know!
Here's a link to a video of the sound https://youtu.be/dTtLHeBM8Yg

I don't expect an exact diagnostic... I'm trying to find common issues that occur on the 350 that anyone might have experienced already causing similar sounds. Are they notorious for failing torque converters around certain mileage? Lifter failure? Injectors?

anything is possible... but without knowing the history of the car, miles, mods, etc etc etc.

^^Even then it's literally just going to be a guess in the dark

OP either take it to a mechanic or see if you can replicate it in the driveway with your head in the hood.

It could be from your wheels, to your brakes, to your suspension, to your tranny and everything in between.

But no as far as I know 350z trans especially the one you have are some of the most durable OEM trannies out there from nissan.

What's up, Tanner.

Can't open your video here at work. I'll listen later.

We're going to need more info, LIKE STATED ABOVE, to pinpoint this issue, and a run down of certain sequences of events(if any)that led to this.

- How do you drive the car? Like a grandma or like you stole it?
- Is it a 6mt or a 5at?
- Did you do anything to the car prior to hearing this noise?
- Are you leaking any fluids?
- Do you hear the tapping all of the time? Or only when it's cold, or only when it's warmed up?
- Where is it the loudest? In front of the car, inside the car, or on a particular side of the car?
- Do you 'feel' the tapping in your gas pedal?
- Do you 'fee' the tapping in your clutch pedal(if 6mt)?

These are questions we need answered because we are not there with you.

A couple inconsistencies in your post needs clarifying. ''At idle'', ''under hard acceleration'', ''at the top of first gear when you let off the gas'' and ''when accelerating throughout the other gears'' are four different scenarios. It's not a constant sound either? Your explanation leads me to believe it is though..
