Default Trouble starting help please!

I have an all stock 04 base manual 350Z. Today it has started having trouble starting. It cranks over fine then immediately shuts off when the rpm's drop down to idle, however if I give the gas pedal a little love tap before the rpm's drop it starts and runs fine. This did not start until I went to get gas because the gas light was on and it said like 4 miles till empty, at first I figured it was cause the gas level was so low. The battery is less then a year old and shows normal voltage and no codes, I'm guessing maybe fuel pump? Any other ideas? And is the fuel pump a pain to replace?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime itself right before you start the car? btw(if you're doing this)riding on a quarter tank of gas or under constantly isn't particularly good for the fuel pump, as it likes to stay submerged in fuel to cool itself.. No, it's not hard to replace either.

Yes I can hear the fuel pump the more I think about it I don't think that's the issue and I don't normally let it get that low this morning leaving for work it started fine if it is the cam shaft sensor how bad is that to replace?

10 minutes tops per sensor, with a 10 mm socket. i have always been a stickler for OEM sensors, but the price difference may sway ya
