Default Tig Welding Oil Pan (pressure sensor crack)

I’ve searched and haven’t found anyone who’s just welded the typical crack on the oil pressure sensor and closed off the hole for the oe pressure sensor. Anyone have feedback on this?
With positive feedback I’ll keep this thread updated with pics showing the process.

Probably because people just repair it.

If you have the skills or interest do it. If you welt it correctly it shouldn't be any different than solid metal. If you want to do it do it, but I doubt you're going to find anyone who's done it on this forum.

If it was me ... and it was (circa 2010) replace the pan.

Is it fast or fun? no
Is it easy or enjoyable? no

but it's the right way to do it.

I get very very nervous any time I weld something on the car...240volts/~40amps is alot of power to ground out...
