TSB Useless, shutter valve replacement advice
Hey all,
As per what I expected, the stealership was utterly useless when it came to fixing the fuel tank/evap hose/shutter valve that's making it nearly impossible for me to fill up my tank. Does anyone have any advice on where I can find a replacement shutter valve? Can't seem to find one for sale online, any part numbers? any specifics or write-ups on how to replace it would be appreciated as well.
Thanks so much yall!

There is no "shutter valve" to replace as part of this TSB. Have you seen the actual TSB?

If your EVAP system is venting properly and there are no kinks in your filler hose, there is nothing the dealer can do. Solutions that have worked over the years: 1)Try sticking only the tip of the fill nozzle when filling, 2)Try filling it with the nozzle upside down, or 3)Try a different gas station.
I have lived with this the life of the vehicle, is very intermittent, and is probably due to a design issue more than an issue with any one part. Though the TSB is 15 years and 150k miles, so no harm in trying to make them fix it.

I have read the TSB. The dealership tested and told me that the flapper on the fuel tank is defective. Want $2400 to replace the fuel tank. Yeah right. Can I not get this part separately? Also, after they worked on it, it started throwing the P0441 purge valve code. Going to have to wait until this weekend to get a vacuum pump and test the valves.

About expected form the dealer. Im not sure as ive never heard of anyone replacing it on the Z. Im not sure its certain that is what is causing the issue either. But like I said mine is very intermittent, I usually fill it 5 gallons at a time so doesnt visit the pump much anymore.
