Default Shifting/ No Power

The other day i was driving on the highway probably 75ish mph.... i went to pass some one so i downshifted from 6th to 5th for just a little bit extra power. When i got it into gear and pressed the gas the car did nothing. No rpm difference though. They didn’t rise or drop, but the car did absolutely nothing. So i shifted back into 6th and hit the gas and it did nothing. Same as when i had down shifted, no change (rise or fall in rpms) but also didn’t go. I put it in neutral for a few seconds, put it back in 6th and it went again. I feel like i can’t really get on it hard anymore. Then a few days later i was in 3rd and went to gas it and i think it hit like maybe 4500/5k rpms and then it acted like it was red lining..... i have no clue wtf is going on. Any advice or point me to another thread please and thank you!!!!

Sounds like a sensor issue. Is the check engine light on? Or has it triggered since making this post?
