Transmission whistling noise
Hi all,
I know there is a plethora of posts similar to this but for the interest of the countless experiencing this same problem I was hoping for some opinions.
I have an 07 manual 350 with 60k on the clock. It's been nice and quiet until I took it for a long drive and a loud whirring noise started coming from what I assume is transmission. The noise is only apparent in 2nd or above and engaging the clutch removes the noise. I know it's not normal as I've driven other 350s and mine was quiet before this. I have a cat back and I can hear the noise over exhaust and its driving me insane.
Does anyone know what this is and what it will cost to fix? Don't want the dealers who say it's normal wasting my time and money..
I have a video but I can't post it
Any help is much appreciated,
Cheers

Yeah I had them checked by the mech and myself and they're not old fluids in diff and trans so I doubt it would be that, I'm thinking this is a familiar sound relating to bearings maybe?
