Default Need Driveshaft

The rear joint on my propeller shaft (driveshaft) is binding periodically, causing vibration. I have found that the whole shaft must be replaced due to design of OEM. OEM is not available from Nissan, what are people using for a replacement? These are the three options I have found, any feedback would be great.

If you still want an OEM driveshaft, why not try finding a used one from a Pick-N-Pull?

I bought used parts for my old sports car mainly because I didn’t have the money to buy OEM or new. If you buy used, you don’t really know what you are getting. How long will the used one last? Could be in the same position a year or two down the road.

Z33 OEM driveshafts are built from carbon fiber to reduce weight, while most of the aftermarket ones are aluminum. Since you're not looking to upgrade your drivetrain to use more hp or torque, I'd stick with OEM. Check the prop shaft on a used one and make sure both ends don't show signs of wear or damage. The cost is much more reasonable and the labor to pull and replace not too extreme.

I totally dig the original is CF, but would also consider an aluminum replacement.

When the driveshaft failed on my G50, it was an expensive PROPosition.
