Default Diagnosing Misfire

03 6MT 143K miles. Thinking my engine is misfiring. It burbles on idle im not sure how else to describe the sound. It sounds like the exhause is pulsating and not a smooth even sound. I am new to the Z so this might be a moot point and they just sound like that. The pulses are not very loud. Seems a lot quieter than most videos ive seen of VQs misfiring. Dont hear anything unusual while driving to my ears, though I am a novice at diagnosing issues. Unfortunately i just realized what it most likely is and have been driving the car for at least a few weeks with this. Not very long or hard drives though. Usually only about 10-15 mins and only a few times a week if that. I was driving a bit today and did a short but hard pull in 2nd and heard a pinging noise. I will occasionally do that for a little fun. Thought it could have been a rock bouncing off the inside of my wheel but im not sure

Process for addressing this is usually change plugs and coil packs, correct? Ive heard i may be able to "rotate" my coil packs to other banks but im not sure if that is accurate. Would not like to buy new coil packs if i can help it because $$$$$

Let me know if anyone would happen to know what that pinging sound could have been. To be fair ive never driven such a noisy car and every sound this thing makes i take notice of. Still getting used to all of it.

This is a good representation of what my car sounds like though the pulses are not as loud. Sound is very similar at idle and after small revs. NOT my car in the video

Did you pull codes? Misfires are P030X where X=0 means random misfire, X=1 to 6 indicates culprit cylinder if it’s a coilpack or plug.

I'll see if I can get some codes pulled tonight. Hopefully no damage to the engine

Got OBD2 and checked the codes after work.

I got P0327 which i guess is for knock sensor.

Havent used OBD2 before so i tried to see if there were more codes behind that one by hitting the DTC button (not exactly sure what this does) and then clearing the code. Let it read again and display said 0 DTC. Maybe I am just a little over sensitive when it comes to the noises the car makes.

Thinking i will change my plugs, clean the maf and possibly the throttle body and see if its any smoother sounding. Need to do all of that anyway. Wondering why i hear little burbles while idling and after small revs while parked. Can only hear them from pretty close.
