Default Vq35 connecting rod ?

Hello , I am putting a vq35de g35 motor back together. My question is, when installing the piston onto the connecting rod is there a front mark on the connecting rod.
Thanks in advance. G35/1958.

What rods are they ?
My Manley ones didn't have a specific chamfer, so it didn't matter.

They are the stock nissan connecting rods. They may not have a front and rear , but I thought I had better ask. Cheers.

In the FSM, on page EM-120 it does note about the OEM rods having a front facing mark, so probably best you look at this firstly.

Thanks RobPhobos, does it give any other information? I don't have the FSM. Can anyone else help research this as I need to get this motor back together. Or is there a better section on this forum to find the answer. The con rods have an oil hole drilled through the con rod that is directed towards the underside of the piston. So this hole could be on top or bottom depending which way the con rod is installed. Please help.

Thanks RobPhoboS, That has solved my problem. I had actually installed 4 of the pistons on the rods incorrectly. Thanks again,
