Default Test pipes throwing CEL

hey guys, sorry if this post has already been made, wasn’t able to find anything.

about a year ago i got test pipes that i believe are berk put on my z and at the time i wasn’t able to get the o2’s put on, i ran with no o2s for a good 7 months after that and once i got them back on, i kept getting a code stating that my test pipes were clogged up, i seafoamed the vacuum line and that seemed to open it up and remove the engine light for periods of time and then about 3 months ago it finally turned off, today it clicked back on for the same issues however it states no action needs to be taken until drivability becomes an issue. just wanted to see if anyone else has dealt with this before, or could slide some opinions about it.

Well of course, no delta between up and downstream reads as catalyst non-functional to ECM.

Test pipes…… I‘ll never understand.

Ah, so essentially to dumb it down for myself, the ECU doesn’t recognize it, but no action needs to be taken.

Almost. Let's put it this way-
Your ecu uses the upstream O2 readings for fuel/air ratios and also as a baseline for emissions. It's expecting your downstream emissions to be lower because a catalyst is normally there. Since you're running pipes, there's no reduction in emissions so the code says bad cats.

You can try the no-fouler remedy on YT or flash with UpRev to clear the code.
