Default Help!! polyurethane motor mounts

Can anyone tell me if they have had any experience using the PMC polyurethane motor mounts? I'm trying to have them installed while doing my engine swap and the shop called me and said that the mounts are too tall that the exhaust is now pushed up against the frame, and the engine is sitting up so high that the hood won't even close. Please let me know if anyone has some suggestions as what could be the issue. The link below is where I purchased them from.

First I would measure a stock mount vs the new one. Something sounds off, maybe you got a defect or the mechanic messed up.

my car has the Z1 versions, and had no issue

yea that’s what I recommended he check, but he’s got to pull the engine back out to do so from what he’s told me.

Actually it sounds like your original vendor screwed up, or the wrong part got ordered. If it were mine I'd get the Z1 mounts drop shipped to your mechanic and move on.
I looked at the website link you provided and noticed spelling errors, good luck with the return 👍

Yea that's what I want to do, but the shop I took it to wants to try and wrap up the car today. I will see if they can hold out until I get the new mounts in.

if he can’t figure out how to measure the Mount vs the stock mount without pulling the engine, sent a tow truck and have the car picked up.

Remind them **** happens, parts come in wrong and you'll reward their patience with a good review. Win/win. Stand your ground, get it finished correctly.

We figured it out. The engine we swapped in came out of an automatic those have different hard mounts that make the motor sit higher compared to the manual ones.
