Spark plug tube
does anyone know if your able to replace the spark plug tube while the heads are still on the motor? I’ve got an 04 350z that’s had a valve cover leak for awhile now I’ve replaced gaskets an the cover multiple times an it’s never gone away well I finally found the culprit!!! The spark plug tube on cylinder 2 is bent not allowing the seal to seat correctly Any help is appreciated?!
Pretty sure just need to take the valve cover off , and gently remove/replace - I'm guessing its just like a large dowel.
Just search on google how to remove/replace spark plug tubes (might need a specific tool to assist - kind of expands inside, or a perfect fit socket inside so you don't crush it).
Make sure you keep everything clean, I'd be tempted to change the oil/filter after running it for a few mins (just-in-case).

My bad I forgot to update my post but I ended up using a socket an a small ball pin hammer lol I’ve gone about 500 miles n so far it seems to be holding!!! Now to just figure out my other oil leaks
Always useful for someone else if they have the same issue. Pretty straight forward to sort out ?
ya it wasn’t to bad I had already planned to use a hammer an then saw something on a corvette forum that mentioned doing something similar to round an exhaust tip figured it was worth a shot
