Default vqhr overheating while idling after changing spark plugs and coil packs

need some opinions, just got this sedan n i just changed the spark plugs and coil packs, but when i did so i noticed that my car started overheating when at a stop of any sort (takes about 30 secs-1:30 min to start overheating). Then i notice that my coolant reservoir has nothing in it so i thought oh okay that’s why n i got coolant n put it in then left to work, but nothing change when otw to work, i came to a stop at a light n took about 30 secs to a min for it to shoot up again then go down after driving. so after i got off work, i check my levels of coolant n reservoir seems good on coolant, but then i called my friend that knows about hr’s he said to check fans and if it not then maybe it’s the thermostat. when i check my fans they don’t come on until it’s already overheating but as soon as it’s not overheating they’re both off. i try ac on (cold) still overheating, tried off still overheating, but it just came to me that i never tried with the heater on while idling. anyways i need help due to me depending on this car to go places, (friend told me i can drive it but baby it n try not to stop or creep up to a red light and order fans asap n bleed the coolant then if that don’t work get the thermostat asap). so if this doesn’t make sense but if you need me to explain it again differently plz lmk.

its possible that you have air trapped in the system from the overflow being dry, i would replace tstat just because they are cheap and bleed the system

Most folks disconnect the throttles when they do coils and plugs.
Many leave the throttle connected the the plenum and remove the coolant lines going to them.

I usually remove the bolts off the throttles and move them out of the way with the lines attached and connector plugged in (you save having to bleed the system and possibly an idle relearn)

If you chose the 2nd option, you most likely have air trapped in the coolant hoses that feed the throttles.

Either a coolant funnel or a funnel that can fit the hole of the radiator cap and you fill it up with the engine idling. Let it idle until you see no more bubbles.
Turn off the car and let the coolant cool so it can contract and more fluid can enter the engine. Install the cap and monitor levels

Unless there is a leak you are not noticing, this issue is air trapped in the system.
