DE baffled oil pan?

Default DE baffled oil pan?

One of the guys in here looking to track their de. Not interested in moving to an hr right now and I'm looking for baffling and better oil capacity. All I'm finding right now is a greddy and stillen pan. Not interested in the stillen as it has no baffling but does anybody know where I can get a pan with actual proper baffling that isnt just the tiny walls in the greddy for a de? Or if somebody here has one for sale I'd be willing to buy one

There isn't anything with really good baffling, the only ones that have something at all would be Greddy and Central 20.

Have you considered just an oil pan spacer for increased capacity? You also space the pickup tube

I have but I really want something baffled like the old arc, ams, and og greddy pans. They used to make good de pans with real baffles but it's impossible to find some now

How come I've never seen them?
No ARC, no AMS.

The DE doesn't have the same oil return problems as like say a Cayman engine which is notorious for that. there is a split oil pan system in the DE engine that means you really don't need baffling for high g oil pickup. an upper oil pan, and a lower. The upper handles oil return out of the heads, etc. this is probably why there isn't much of a market for a baffled oil pin.

Greddy is not baffled , just a hair more capacity. I have one on my car.

best to find the Cosworth parts imo , and good luck in your search

You need to find a used APS Oil Pan and the Cosworth Oil Control Baffle Kit

A 1-in spacer makes a huge difference with an extra quart of capacity. If you have an engine oil cooler also, there's room for probably another whole quart in the system. with the cooler, you're looking at 7Q. I noticed an improvement back in May after installing the 1-in spacer, and doing 2 hours of open track with hardly a break, no problems at all. whereas, previously with the stock pan at Sonoma, I could literally hear the pickup sucking air and losing oil pressure on high speed turns. and yeah, that's a scary sound, I left the track immediately.

Depending on the size of the cooler … I’m going to say the typical 12 to 20 rows hold 1/2quart at most, that includes lines. Its less than you think

It’s not the smartest but you can run two spacers and it does sit right below the bottom of the subframe plane.

I have the Concept Z baffled oil pan for my 06 rev up. I have not installed it it's sitting on a shelf. I'll install it soon.
