B&M Short Shifter out soon..YEAH!
With a decrease throw of 33%, force of shifting is even greater.
So at what point is decreasing the short throw too much? What is the down side of this?
I'd like to go to a shorter shift, but don't
want to get too low.

I'm considering some type of short shifter because I find it easy to 'get lost' with all the play between gears. Around town and especially at the track I have to make a conscious effort to keep track of where I'm at and not skip gears.
I have 2 comments on this: David benches about 500 lbs, so you can figure how much pressure he is putting on the shifter when he power shifts. He has broken 2 of the B&M shifters in half. It is actually not as common of a problem as is appears to be in the post, but B&M replaced both shifters under warranty. He sold the last one they sent him and went back to stock. This problem seems isolated to the Supra since the center shaft is hollow. Other cars like C5's, Vipers and Boxsters aren't having these problems.
