Default Feels like the rev limiter @ 5K

My car losses power at 5K. Does the rev limiter kick in that early? I would'nt expect it til 6K or over.

I don't really know what do you mean by saying that? lose power at 5K rpm have nothing to do with the rev limiter though, if the rev limiter kicks in at 5K rpm, your car will have NO GO after 5K already....

cheers,

richie

If you are looking for more power in the 5k+ power band, you might want to look into a JWT pop charger and an aftermarket Plenum(kinetix/crawford), these will increase hp in the 5k+ range so that it feels like your car increases pull through the entire band

No the rev limiter does not kick in that early at all.

Are you experianceing a SEVERE loss of power? Then something may be wrong. Or do you feel it just tappers off?

the dyno plot does taper off. but its not THAT noticable. redline is 6600, thats where the fuel cutoff is, and you will literally bounce off it, you can mistake that.

The car does not pull any harder after 5k, I think its something to do with the intake system. Im looking for an aftermarket intake pipe and filter.

We have noticed with my old supercharged setup, and even some mildly modified 350z's that under severe driving conditions (drifting) the car will heat up and throw it into a limp mode temporarily. and it completely cuts out at about 5k. the only way to get it to stop is to retune the car, or just get rid of the stock ecu, and get it to run cooler. You could always not beat on it so hard, but whats the fun in that.
