Default Differential and Tranny Help.

Hey guys I have about 7K on my Z and I want to flush both fuilds out with new ones.

The search is down so I need some help, hopefully I can get started on this today.

1) Whats the correct weight and type of fuild I should get for both tranny and diff. and where should I get it (Local auto stores) ?

2) How many qts. shall be put in both ?

3) Do I really need to change the gaskets since its still a new car?

If I need to know anything else please let me know.

Thanks.

I just replaced my engine oil and tranny fluid with Royal Purple.

In the '04, the manual says that 75W90 is appropriate and I used that weight of Royal Purple's MaxGear oil. I really like it so far. A bit smoother than before. Not as much metal on metal sound/feel.

Royal Purple has an SAE 90 MaxGear that I would like to use on the differential, but it is only sold in 5 gallon buckets and that is a bit too much to pay. I'm going to try to find a more appropriate weight or take a look at Redline.

It took 3 quarts of Tranny oil to fill her up.
