I want to throw in a new set of spark plugs but what are the best ones to go with. Is it alright if I go with a one step colder plug on n/a. I have plenty of mods.

I had NGK Iridium installed on Acura TL.
Both Denso & NGK are great spark plugs.

As for my Z, I had oil change & spark plugs changed including
K & N Air Filter & Nismo Headers.
My car seems smoother but like I said I had few things done all at once.

Than again, I am not an auto mechanic.
There was a learning curve the first time. Did the same thing for a friend the 2nd time and it probably took 1/3 the time. You will be removing your OEM Air Intake. Find each coil and then determine what must be removed or pulled back. The wires leading to the each coil have a snap type connector. Disconnect each and it is easier. I was able to loosen things, thus avoided cutting wire straps. Put some "duck tape" between your socket and extention. It will insure they stay connected. Good Luck!
Stick with the PLFR5A-11 OEM plugs.
The spark plugs sit in a water jacket in the engine block. The colder sprak plug actually will put more of the plugs heat into the jacket which will raise the water temps even more.
As soon as the ECU see's a high water temp it will really start shutting the performacne of the car down.
Missfires and problems with the VVT will happen with high water temps.

Hey dwnshift,
Are you saying that we shouldn't change the brand, or just the heat range? I understand that we should stay with same heat range so I ordered NGK irridium plugs in the factory heat range.
Have you guys had problems with OEM heat range aftermarket plugs?
