Does this actually work in reducing the oil build up in your intake tube???

The tubing & level tube on the actual catch can are tainted brown, so it seems like it is intercepting something. No actual buildup of fluid to drain, but I wouldn't expect it on a NA car. I'll yank off my intake this weekend and see if the throttle body/plate is clean.
