Question Cutouts anyone?

Anyone use cutouts on there exhaust?
http://www.mccordcg.com/mpp/mpp.htm

Was thinking of getting a pair of these for stock exhaust.

Any ideas on how it would sound? good---bad? or issues with install

I think cutouts are a bad choice. The Z exhaust is tuned to maintain velocity and minimize the resonance caused by the engine. Cutouts would get you more HP at the cost of torque down low from lazy flow.

Plus, it is a V6- while an unmuffled V8 may sound great, I doubt the VQ will.

If you're talking about throttling your stock exhaust, you must be really concerned about noise. If the 350Z is too much for you, I know the Camry is really quiet... (jk)

In my opinion, that $200 would be a waste on the Z, especially a stock exhaust-ed one. If you want sound, go for something like the Popcharger from JWT so you can hear the intake or one of the aftermarket exhausts.
