Hey everyone. I just bought a new 2004 350z with 6 miles on it. It currently has 240miles. I was driving today and the tach. got all weird and bounced up and down four or five times and then stayed at around 3500rpm. As far as driving nothing changed. When I let off the gas the RPM's went down but the needle still stuck at 3500rpm's. Then after 5 mins or so its working fine. Didnt know if this is something I should bring into warrenty ASAP. Any help would be great.

Sounds like an electrical problem, and of course its under warranty. Take it in. My Z is at the dealer right now getting a few problems taken care of: Defected A/C, loose restpedal, and loose seat. I'm finally picking it up tomorrow! Can't wait to get back into my Z after not having it for 9 days!

 

Sorry to hear about your guys' problems. Hopefully mine continues to be problem free, as it has been for the past 6k miles (except for minor window grease streak, but that doesn't bug me at all)
