boring makes the cylinder diameter larger, and stroking makes the piston stroke longer...both options increase displacement, since displacement = volume of cylinder (Area*Length)

yea then i asked about stroking it out and everyone laughed.. why what do u do to the engine to "stroke it out"? where do u shave metal from or is it done with parts?

I recommend getting your head polished the same time you're getting stroked for full effect. Believe it or not, female mechanics tend to be best at this skill. But you'll also want to get sleeved for protection. Also, the sleeve can reduce sensitivity to premature detonation.

i usually start by caressing the block tenderly. ...but maybe just a nip of octane booster first, just to get everyone in the mood. then break the whole thing down; slap some axel grease in... and work the shaft hard and heavy. she should be about up to speed then. just make sure you take your time and have patience not to finish until the job is done.
