Default V4 just arrived - Questions regarding casting quality

My v4 arrived on the front doorstep about 20 minutes ago and i quickly unwrapped it because i wanted to start installing it ASAP. Right after unwrapping it i looked it over to make sure everything looked right (no cracks). The tube toward the top that connects to the throttle body is definately bothering me, there are areas here that are no where close to smooth, almost like there is maybe excess plastic, and its very rough like gravel. I was thinking maybe i should sand it down? Here are some pics, hope someone can give me a good recommendation.

I had the roughness at the TB opening as well. I also had the area that is missing toward the front op the underside. I think the little hole or dent looking thing is just a result of the molding process. I didnt do anything with the roughness and I have had no problems whatsoever. I have about 300 miles on the plenum. I am heading to the drag strip to test out my plenum and new exhaust. hopefully nothing will go wrong.

So Right now im pretty mad, not only about the cooling block, but also at myself for being such a dumbass under the hood. I just finished putting everything back to stock with 3 major problems.

1. the clamp that holds a tube to the intake tube fell off into the bottom of the engine bay when i took the tube out, failed to locate where it fell.

2. The back left bolt that holds down the stock plenum also slipped out of my hand as i was reaching across the front on my tip toes to try to screw it in with my hand to get it started before i went at it with the socket wrench.

3. As i was tightening down the plenum one of the bolts felt really loose while i kept tightening and all of a sudden SNAP! - half the bolt broke off, i dont know how the hell im going to get it out.

Im guessing i can go to a hardware store and easily get replacement bolts for the bolt i lost, the one that i broke (if i can get the half broken bolt out) and the clamp should be an easy replace too. It would be nice if i could find these things though so they arent rattling around in my engine bay.

ON A BETTER NOTE: I successfully sanded down the inside of the Kinetix v4 plenum where it was ultra rough like in the pictures i posted above. You wouldnt believe the difference of how smooth the plastic is now where the air is going to flow in past the throttle body, i think it should make a difference in air flow, maybe not a lot, but i think it was worth it to smooth it out.

oh and by the way, i started the car up to make sure there were no leaks with the 2 missing bolts - everything seemed to be A-OK with the remaining bolts fastening it down.

I wouldnt run it much with it like that, less bolts could create stress points.

the parts you lose should have dropped down to the skid plate reach on up in there and get em.

the bolt you cracked off, they sell these reverse drills, itll drill into the bolt backwards and eventually grab and screw it out. its a handy tool to have.

Post some pics, mine is rough on the inside too. Seems like Kinetix has some quality control issues. I have never seen a plenum that was rough on the inside like the Kinetix. Seems like it would have to cause an irregular airflow.

I dont mean to flame, but can someone please explain why you would buy products from Kinetix, with the reputation they have? I wouldnt take any of their **** if THEY paid me to take it, (well maybe I would, then I would sell it on Ebay). The V4 is obviously one HELL of an improvement , look at the amazing craftmanship in those pics, woo wee

Again, sorry for flaming but I cant understand why?!! Because you dont need to replace the strut bar, because Kinetix is cheaper?!!
