I just installed mine, and it too is a bit rough inside. I think you are being a little too picky. I really don't think it's going to make a measureable difference in performance.

Are u saying there's no clear gain of performance!!

Installed mine on Fri and drove from MD to Philly the same day. It idles a little rough from btw 1500 and 500 at startup but once the car warms up it steadies out to 500-700ish RPMs. I checked for leaks and don't hear or see any. No cracks as well. It does make a pssst sound when I step on it. Anyone else notice this?

I think he is referring to the roughness inside the TB opening. If ou run your finger inside this area, you will notice that it is very rough. He is saying that the roughness will not cause any noticable difference in performance.

I'm letting the lock-tite dry for the 2 hours. I'm sure the gains are there, as the old version's (R.I.P) gains were 'feelable'.

I wish I can run my finger inside the area of the plenum
nothing to do but wait for it to arrive!!
