Looks like you have a blue cooling hose loose on the right side of the engine bay or is that a loose grounding strap ?

No that's a grounding kit wire. Where's the belt for the pulley right above the supercharger?

NOTICE the coolant level is WAAAAY above the "max" reading on the overflow resv.

my Nismo LT thermo has malfunctioned, and is not allowing full circulation of coolant.

Luckily, i caught this before the car overheated fully.... its at the dealership now, awaiting the new thermo (getting a new nismo, again.....) .......

kinda hard to see the problem, but i thought it was a neat game anyway...

now, to get to the thermo, well, thats another issue altogether....

are you sure it is the thermo, and not air in the coolant lines ?

I had this problem, and I had to use the bleeder screw in the hose, to get out the air in the line.

Technically the coolant doesn't "flow" through the reservoir to help cool the engine. It is there for when the coolant gets hot and expands to go to the reservoir. When the engine cools the coolant returns to the radiator, thus the MIN and MAX marks on the reservoir. MIN is (usually) the full cold mark and MAX is (usually) the full hot mark. Anywhere in between those two marks is normal, depending on when and how hot or cool the engine coolant is when you check it.

It could be due to a bad pressure cap that the coolant is over the mark, or someone filled it too full when the engine was cold, or possible engine overheating and the coolant was pushed into the reservoir making it go over the marks. Lots of possibilities for that to happen really. But I hope everything is ok with your car and you get it sorted very quickly.
