Default JUN flywheel question

I just got my JUN flywheel, and I'm wondering the following..

What is a reasonable price for installation? should I wait until my tranny goes out and get it installed at the dealer? buy my tranny is running very smooth at 30,000km, and I dont' really want to wait anymore.

Also, for you who have the JUN flywheel, how is it? can you feel the difference?

The first thing I noticed when I installed my Jun flywheel was an improvement in shifting gears. I didn't notice any performance gains by the seat of my paints. However, I did notice a big performance gain when I raced my coworker in his stock 2003 Mustang GT. We had raced several times before I installed my flywheel (just header and exhaust mods) I would only pull away from the top of 2nd gear on. I could only pull about 3 cars by 110 mph. After we raced with my flywheel I could start to pull away in first gear and in second gear it was lights out. We raced four more times all with similiar results. I don't know for sure but by 110 mph I was probably at least .5 seconds faster.

I was one of the first to drop the JUN flywheel in - Had it for 10K miles plus.

Much easier/quicker to rev to redline - engine feels way more responsive - I don't find starting from stop too bad - will take a few days to get used to.

A bit noisier but it doesn't bother me any - barely noticeable inside the car..mostly if you standing outside.

Hope this helps,

I think I paid like $400 to get it installed - If you're waiting 'till you need a new clutch - you could be waiting a while!!! I was not that patient.

To all JUN flywheeler,
I don't mind the 'cement truck' noise when the car's idling, but does it have the excruciating vibration when the car is under full load at low speed between 1500-2000rpm. I've noticed this while trying the Tilton and even the relatively conservative Nismo unit does this.

I don't know about vibrations that are excrutiating. I have Rallytec's shortshifter and this on top of the Jun can make the gear-grinding / rattling sound quite noticeable.

I guess I think of the Z as a detuned stock car - not a sports luxury car - she and rattle and groan all she likes!!!

What kind of vibration? I do get the clutch to bounce between 1500 to 2000 rpm if I stomp on the throttle. That makes the car jerk before the clutch finally grabs is that what your talking about?
