Default Car sounding wierd at high speeds/rpms!!!

Whats up everyone? The performance mods I have are the popcharger, test pipes, Injen dual exhaust and Kinetix plenum. After I installed the plenum and exhaust, I have begun to notice my car acting wierd at high speeds/rpms. OK here is what it is doing. When I am accelerating at speeds over 100 MPH, RPMS over say 4500, I notice that the car sounds like it is skipping or making a "cutting out" sound. The first time heard it, I thought I was hitting my rev limiter, but I know thats not the case as I hit it yesterday while in manual mode. Does anyone have any input as to what this may be?

Sounds like a loose vac hose connection or loose MAF connection.
Re-check all or your connections or better yet, take the plenum off and put the original back on and re-test, then if all is cool then reinstall it.
If you still have the problem then return it to Kinetix and get a new one.

Mine does something similar, but it has always done it. When I let off the accelerator, the RPMs will fall like normal and dip about 100 RPMs lower than should be and raise back up. It just does this for a spilt second though.

zach, with those mods, you should be running very lean (i'm assuming you haven't done any tuning). maybe your knock sensor is going off and the ecu's retarding timing. i'm not expert on this kinda stuff... just a thought.

I have not had any tuning done. gq_626 said that my AFR was lean but not too bad. Is it bad to continue to run at those speeds/rpms?
