Valvebody & Torque Converter Upgrades??
I'm looking to add a APS turbo kit to my 2003 Z with the 5 speed auto. I've been told by APS that I should upgrade my valvebody. The only two companies that I know of that offer upgraded valvebodies are Stillen and Level 10. Level 10 suggested that I upgrade my torque converter as well. I've heard that Level 10 has had some issues in the past...anybody have any recent dealings with them. Has anyone else done these upgrades? How does the car shift? Does the firmness of the shift correspond with the throttle position?
Thanks in advance.
John

I've heard that its generally wise to get your torque converter and valve body upgrade done by the same company, or otherwise ensure that they are "compatible." Anyone know what specificallly needs to be "compatible" between the two?

just had my TC mod done by edge. very good group of people. answered all my questions and then some.
huge difference in shifting lag and the cars reaction time to the gas pedal being pushed.

This is an official STILLEN post regarding our new ‘Valve Body upgrade’. This is to address the postings that suggest that we do not produce our own ‘Valve Body upgrade’. Our STILLEN Valve body is our own product. STILLEN is NOT working with Level 10 to produce our valve body upgrade. In fact the only time we sold a Level 10 product was back in 1999.

How much firmer is the shifting with the valvebody upgrade? Is't so firm that my drink is going to fly out of my hand everytime the car shifts? Does it still shift smoothly when your not on the throttle very hard?
Thanks,
John
