nice job victor..

one question: why not use the HUGE copper grounding strap about 12" below the spot you used?

Default awesome job victor...

looks great and all for under half the price price i got mine for...glad you felt the difference too...bet it's worth the 50 bucks you spent?? maybe this will help convince more skeptics... for those who are DIYers, it's a mod that well worth it...

i wish there where as many choices for a grounding system just 2 weeks ago when i got mine...would probably of bought the kit skidazzle or his friend is offering and save some money....but not regrets in installing the system...

I think you did an excellent job detailing each and every step so even an idiot like me could do this simple install. Thanks.

My question is this..

If changing grounding cables to #4 wire makes such a difference why wouldn't/didn't Nissan just use #4 wire for their grounds originally? What does this "better" ground do?

No joking, I am serious and would do it if it makes a difference for the better.

Thanks for the info!

Simply impressive!

VQRacer and SkiDazzle: You guys have done an outstanding job on this topic.

Hopefully the owner/admins of this site can move the information you both have provided out of a forum, and into a prominent place on this website.

May this thread never require a 'bump' in order to be easily accesible by the forum members.

And admins: Grab Brad's 8 Step Detail Process while you're at it, and do the same.

Thanks Guys!

I can't find the Hyperground Kit or the HKS kit at the links above. Can anyone else find them?

Thanks.

For the HKS kit, you have to go to the Optauto web site and do a search for HKS earthing kit. You'll find it. For the hyperground kit, go to the sunauto web site.

Default Warranty?

Guys..

So I'm a still a bit sceptical... but my question at this point is... Doesn't this void our warranties?

I assume it does since someone will eventually hook the grounding kit up wrong and screw up their electrical system.

This has been repeated many times on this forum. Federal Law provides that modifications made to your car will not void any wrrantly unless it can be proven that your mod actually caused the damage. Despite this, dealers may still give you a hard time for certain warranty repairs. You need to be prepared to fight and perhaps even have your lawyer write a letter. If you are not prepared to fight for your rights under the law, then perhaps you aren't meant to mod your street car.

One thing is for sure, if the earthing mod is installed correctly it will NOT cause any damage and will NOTvoid your warranty. If you hook it up wrong and blow out your electrical system, of course it won't be covered under the warranty.

Hey Victor, nice job. Thanks for the writeup. My only problem is that I don't own some of the basic tools that you mention, nor do I know anybody who does. The wrenches and all aren't a problem, it's more the crimper. I'm sure I can find a way around this.

What exactly does Skidazzle mean by this... doesn't this discredit everything in the thread that you're referring to?

My Interpretation is:
He pretty much called himself a liar just trying to make a buck off of forum go'ers... by lying to them and saying that the grounding makes a difference.

Doesn't make sense... are those OBDII readings false too?

I could be wrong, and if I am, I apologize... but that's what it sounds like.
