Default AA ECU Reflash

Is the Altered Atmosphere ECU Reflash worth the money? I currently have test pipes and an AEM Intake. Should I short ram the intake or leave it CAI? I ran a 13.8 last time at the track and am wondering how much faster just a reflash will make me.

What I would like to know is/will their (AA) reflash provide the equivalent of what Technosquare does besides simply removing the Rev limiter, speed limiter, TB etc.. Technosquare adjusts the stock fuel maps to match any mod(s) a car may have simply by telling them what the mod(s) are..Does AA have similar programming to overwrite the ECU PROM (S/W) without having to put the car on a there Dyno and fine tuning the fuel maps?

i have the AAM reflash...my car performs TEN times better than it did before it acts the same way as technosquare same software...they can do custom fuel maps and mods to your ecu...they did a great job on my car but i also had custom tuning done....my car was on the dyno for 3 days for tunning but we were doing custom tunes so we could save them and use them for later reference and later customers. but they definatley have different fuel maps and etc for the 350z...they have alot of stuff over there to help you out give david a call @ AAM and he will help you out...

Another question would be can they do the 2004.5 ecu yet or are they in the same boat as TS?

If you have dynoed the car and your A/F is over 13.2 to1 in the upper RPM range....yes....flash the ECU......if its 13.2 to 1 or less...dont bother......would be a waste of money ...unless you want to raise the rev.limiter

I got an AA reflash not too long after Ben and I'm pretty happy with it. It's definitely the mod that made the most noticable difference in acceleration for me. I dynoed at 243.1 rwhp and 237 tq on their awd dyno. Your car will run safer and faster with this mod.

I was one of the first to have their NA cars done (had my early 04 flashed in December last year).

AA uses the same software Technosquare does (every firm that reflashes the Z ecu uses this software). As was mentioned above, I had a custom tune done as well. I felt more comfortable doing it this way vs the mailorder thing. Car ended up netting peak gains of around 12 hp and 10 or 11 ft pounds as I recall.

Since mine was a custom tune and Mike was still familiarizing himself with the software, I was there for around 11 hours - long day indeed, but well worth the investment.

Sorry for my ignorance but who is AA? What does AA stand for and do they have a web-site? I also have a 04 and badly need the ecu reflashed due to all of my mods.

Do they have a dyno at their location? I wouldn't mind getting a run in before doing the flash to see the difference. It's about 4 hours away but this seems to be a better option for me than sending my ecu to California.

Id wait for more mods before doing that, the more mods you have at the time, the more power a reflash gets you, just make sure to tell them your modifications first!

Do they custom tune every car or if you have a list of certain mods they just flash it with something they have already? About how long does it usually take to remove and flash it if it's not cutom? Sorry for asking so many quesitons but this would most likely be my next step.

Not sure if anyone knows, but they have a discounted price this comeing weekend ( Oct 16th ) Price is down to $349 for the reflash and they are renting Captial Raceway which will cost you $30 to run all day. I will be there, this is one of the last things i need done to my car and this is a great price.

I spoke to Erin ( 301-330-8835 ) it would be nice to see some more 350's there.

$349 damn that's a good price. I guess I am definitely going to have to make a trip down there this weekend.
