Default Altered Atmosphere ECU reflash

Posted this over at 350zmotoring a while back. This site is back up so here it is.

Had the reflash done on my car. Did a before and after dyno and made 10 HP and 9 TQ with the mods that are in my sig with a grand total of 263 HP and 244 TQ. Im pretty pleased with the results. I guess i need to get cams and a TB and im done. Might go FI later down the road.

Would like to say Thank You to Mike at AA. Very nice guy, and was a pleasure to do business with him. They have a kick *** place.

Here is the dyno

Nice! I saw a guy gain about 15hp/12tq last Saturday with the reflash. He already had RT cats, pop charger, and JIC y-pipe, IIRC. I think he put around 255 to the wheels?

As you can see from the dyno, its a solid gain through out the power band. I like that part the most. I was hopeing for some more TQ though, but oh well. Not sure if the deletion of the cats is hurting that or not.

Any thoughts on the numbers i have?

Mods are in my sig

there a bunch of good guys over at altered atmosphere and they are doing there best to help out the z community, they have been trying there best for you guys and making prices very competative to help people who dont have money flowing in through there lives...AAM is one of the best places around the east coast compared to evolution autosports....they both do great jobs...

Huh? So AA tuned the engine to run leaner above 4500 RPM and you produced more power. I had thought that they wanted the car to run richer (where the blue A/F line is).

On a NA application 12.?:1 is way to rich.

Actually that AFR curve looks fantastic. My car had a very similar curve when Mike tuned mine, both in factory form and after. I know on my car (early 04), my factory AFR curve, even after doing UR high flow cats, UR Y pipe, exhaust, was still very rich. After the flash it was in the low 13's, and car runs great for about a year now

That would be me . I was actually hoping for more whp bump with the mods. Kinetix Plenum, JWT pop charger, JIC Y-pipe, RT cats with the AA flash only netted me 252whp. Good bump in horsepower though. I realy thought I could hit 260whp. Oh well I guess I need a header and exhaust to reach that number. I was hoping for lower a/f ratio also.

All the reflash systems for the Z apparently use the same software/hardware. No one can do 2004 ecus as far as I know.
