Default Miles per gallon

Ive almost made my mind up on forced induction than one thing hit me 350 whp is *uckin great, but whats the gas millage like.

Supercharging 17/18 mpg

Turbokit 22/23 mpg

this could very well decide the outcome of my Z.

Im probably right.

Now lets go to the phone lines & hear from the viewers

if you can afford a z....and then a tt or sc...than you can afford to pay for the difference in gas mileage....just do it and live with the consequences.

The turbos will generally give you more control over the boost that you're using. If you are driving in the city or on the highway where there is little demand for power (ie--cruising), then there are quite a few ocassions where you will not be spinning the turbos at all--if you use a light throttle. All of this easy to monitor with a basic boost guage. So...if you drive with a light throttle when power is not needed, then the turbos will probably yield more mpg than an SC. Also, the turbos will not use power to spin a belt, as with the SC.

I seem to be getting 15-17 on surface streets with my Stillen Stage 2 Supercharger. Haven't done a real accurate assessment though

You will never have the upper hand while being pursued by the black and whites.

The TT will always give better MPG in a light crusie condtion just due to the drag of the supercharger. It really depends on how you drive though. I get 22mpg in town and 27-28 on the highway (70-75mph usually no A/C on) Of course if I'm messing around alot I can burn up a tank in less than 200 miles. (10mpg)
