I made a post awhile back asking where I could get the engine RPM off the ECU so I could hook up an aftermarket shift light and was told there was nowhere to get the RPM. I would think the OEM tach has to get it from somewhere.

all of the wires on there are pretty easy to hook up, its just the one wire where your supposed to tap into an rpm reading.

i will post on here if i find anything out.

as for what rpms, ill prbably set it at 1800 to turn on and 200 rpms below redline for shut down.

from what I've heard you don't want to be squeezing below 3K.

You should start to apply the Ni after the end of the Tq curve to limit the amount of load on the motor....... we have week rods

I have mine set to come on @ 3.9k and off @ 6.2k and find myself short shifting because of the BIG loss of power after after the Ni is shut down.

I will try to post some pics

its actually bad to spray below 2k not 3k. either way, the 8969 will only engage once you are 200rpms above the set rpm meaning if i set it at 1800rpms, it wont turn the system on til the engine speed hits 2000rpms.

either way, since i have gotten the TC mod done, my rpms are as high as 3500-3750 when brake torquing (automatic), so spraying below 2k or even 3k is not an issue.

znitro, im curious to see your setup. some pics would be cool. oh and you got a pm.
