Default what parts to get?

I am planning on FI in a year or two, and want to get parts that would work on the FI system.

I don't want to buy something now, and then not be able to use it for the FI.

So the question is...what should I get?

What else are you planning to do besides the APS kit to hit your "goal"???

The kit alone won't do it.

Invest in stonger motor internals and a 3" exhaust system with test pipes... You'll also need a sturdier clutch and firming up the suspension wouldn't hurt...

I would start getting the gauges now. Most, if not all, of them you can hook up now and you'll have that expense and effort out of the way. A plenum is another item you can get now that will work regardless of the FI route you take.

I just read around the forums and it seems Isome parts dont work well with FI, or isnt recommended. for example, crawford plenum, not the kinetix, and some TD exhausts are said not to work with some FI systems.. that's my main concern.
basically I came up with a list of parts, but dont know which companies are OK for FI use later on.
plenum, cats, TD exhuast, UDpullies, ...

Forged internals are a must for FI cars with the kind of HP you are looking for. The thing is you would probably want to lower your compression ratio so you can use more boost, this is something you would want to do just before you go FI. My advice is start saving up. When you get enough for new internals and a FI kit do it all at once. The kind of exhaust that would work on a FI car is generally larger in diameter, which may cause a NA car to lose too much power down low, you would probably wait for that as well.

You could get the AEBS stroker kit and not have to worry about it. I think it would hold some seriously high horsepower. If you don't want to go that route. Then plenum, valve set, camshafts, rods, pistons, maybe crankshaft, new radiator, 3"+ tubing exhaust, race pipes/high-flow cats, oil catch tank, and etc. As far as plenums, the Crawford should be safe with forced induction, the Kinetix V4 plastic plenum is kind of rocky with forced induction, I haven't seen anyone with forced induction and a Kinetix plenum so I don't know. However, Kinetix is developing an aluminum plenum which I believe will be safer for forced induction compared to their plastic plenum.

I plan on going the same route as you, i'm hoping for 650rwhp and 630rwtq daily driver, who knows if that will be possible, only time will tell, and maybe a few broken parts . As for specific brands, this is my plan. Injen SES Straight-tip exhaust, Injen Race Pipes, Blitz radiator, Crower or Pauter rods, Arias/JE/JUN (haven't been released yet) pistons, Top Secret/Turbonetics/APS turbo kit, Kinetix aluminum plenum, Tomei/JWT/Nismo camshafts (haven't determined if Tomei's will work with F/I), Greddy oil catch tank, maybe Nismo competition heads, JUN/Ferrea valve set, ARP head studs, port and polish, JUN sleeves, and if not all of these internals, then an AEBS stroker kit, i'm deciding.

Anyway, hope this helps.

Oh yeah, forgot a few things.

ACT/Exedy Twin-plate/Clutchmasters/Tilton (not sure which one yet, i'm going to get one that will hold up to 400hp, then when I get to 400hp get the higher-performance clutch to hold up to 700 or so rwhp to be safe) clutch, JUN Flywheel, 350EVO 3.9 gears, 350EVO Throttle Body, Mossy Performance Short Shifter (coming out in the next week or so), Unorthodox Racing Pulley's, Injen/Unlimited Tuning/Kinetix Resonated Race Pipes, and with all of this, a Technosquare ECU reflash after about every 3 parts. AEM EMS when I get the turbo to tune it.
