Default greddy catch can full of rusty water

I finally got around to install my greddy oil catch can about 2 months ago and have put about 200 miles on the car since then. I decided to check the contents and to my suprise, instead of oil it was filled with about 2 ounces of rusty water.

did it come in the intake? or maybe condensation?

wierd.

This sounds pretty normal. After cold start and during warm up alot of condensation get baked out of the crankcase and will end up in the can. This is would be more noticeable in cold wet climates.

I guess my only other comment is the liquid didn't feel "oily".
It felt like water.

here's the install...

from the tee

or

to the catch can mounted on the alum bumper near the filter.

then back to the intake

it's got oil in it, trust me I go through the exact same thing on my GVR4 - get used to draining it every oil change.

I dont really have the patience to study that diagram, but do you have both sides of the catch can pressurized, or is one side vented either to atmosphere or intake?

one side to the pcv and one side vented to the intake, before the procharger.
