Grounding Wires Worth It?
Got the '03 Touring Z a month ago. Now that I learned how to drive the little devil, I am looking at some performance enhancements, starting with the cheapest and most effective. Grounding wire sets? Worth it? Your real-world experience and advice are welcome! And what else short of a turbo?
Thanks,

Looks like the ground wire thing is resurrecting.
I posted about this a long while back.
Using a milli-ohm meter (very sensitive ohmmeter), my ground measured a few milliohms. Adding the wires will reduce this resistance by perhaps one or two milliohms- that is, essentially no difference. The wire set looks cool, but does not do a thing for the ground other than potentially create a ground loop, which may affect other things, but not likely to be significant. The ground wires are a cool looking thing to add color under the hood, but seriously do not do anything that positively affects the motor or the ignition or the ECM (computer).
If you want to add some color- great, but don't expect the motor to jump up and add horsepower!
Add a K&N filter in the air intake, one step colder spark plug (the -6 instead of the standard -5) and add 2 or 3 gallons of 100 octane fuel to a tank (about 5 bucks per gallon)- this will allow the ignition to max out the advance without detonation- this is a performance kick that you can actually measure.
Have fun!
